生活型

tree-shrub

形態特徵

  • Shrub or trees to 10 m tall; branches sparsingly lepidote when young.
  • Leaves coriaceous, usually obovate, sometimes elliptic-obovate or oblanceolate, 6–14 cm long, 1.8–4 cm wide, apex rounded, obtuse, or acute with obtuse or rounded tip, base acuminate to cuneate, mostly somewhat incurved, green and glabrous above, light green and minutely lepidote beneath, lateral veins many, inconspicuous, uniting into marginal vein; petioles 5–10 cm long, minutely lepidote.
  • Inflorescences compound, subumbellate or cymose; calyx lobes triangular, entire or slightly ciliate; corolla lobes broadly ovate.
  • Fruit globose, blackish.
  • Ardisia sieboldii Miq. and A. quinquegona Blume have often been confused. The acuminate or caudate-acuminate apex with somewhat pointed leaf tip of A. sieboldii is diagnostic to separate it from Ardisia quinquegona.

分布

  • 台灣 : in forests at low elevations.
  • 世界 : China, the Ryukyus and Japan.
